Otte’s tree cricket
Typical mating ritual of Neoxabea tree crickets. This pair of Otte’s tree cricket is dangling from a rope. The male flails about as the female clings to him.
This is a female Otte’s tree cricket. Note she has four prominent blotches on the wings which are centrally located.
Male Otte’s tree crickets have wings which are wider than those of Nicaragua tree cricket. Also note that an X is more visible – rather than a very dark <>.
